Poway Chamber of Commerce Launches August Food Drive for The Community Food Connection
Poway, CA (July 29, 2024) – The Poway Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce a community food drive in support of The Community Food Connection. This initiative will run throughout the month of August, culminating in our August Mixer on August 22, 2024.
This food drive aims to address food insecurity within our community and encourages local residents and businesses to contribute. We request that all donated items be unexpired, non-perishable foods in grocery store-sized portions only, to ensure efficient and effective distribution. Please avoid bringing bulk items, such as 50-pound bags of rice, and non-food items, as these cannot be accommodated.
Donations can be dropped off at The Community Food Connection location (14047 Twin Peaks Road, Bldg. C) or the Poway Chamber of Commerce office (12222 Poway Road, Ste. 27), Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, starting August 1st and ending August 22nd. Additionally, you can bring your donations to the Poway Chamber’s upcoming events, including:
Poway Chamber Open House (12222 Poway Road, Ste. 27) on 8/13 from 4:30-7:00 PM
Non-Profit Meet and Greet (12515 Springhurst Drive) on August 14 from 5:30-7:30 PM
August Mixer (12250 Crosthwaite Circle) on August 22 from 5:30-7:30 PM
Our team will be on hand to assist with the collection and ensure that all donations are properly handled and delivered to The Community Food Connection. We encourage everyone to participate and contribute to the food drive, helping us ensure that no family in our community goes hungry.
